Performance

The Continental GT S is powered by a Bentley’s High Performance Hybrid V8 powertrain, which delivers 930 Nm of torque and a maximum power output of 671 bhp. This translates into acceleration from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds) and a top speed of 168 mph (270 km/h).

Raw power is only part of the equation, however. The car also features the Bentley Performance Active Chassis, a collection of chassis technologies that together offer the ultimate Bentley driving experience. They include active all-wheel drive, which ensures maximum traction at all times, with the system dynamically redistributing power between the front and rear axles as required. Bentley Dynamic Ride, an innovative 48-volt active roll control system, continuously adjusts the anti-roll bars to reduce body movement especially when cornering.

Torque vectoring, delivered via an electronic limited-slip differential, slows the wheels on the inside of a turn and increases the speed of those on the outside. This enables the car to hold the road more tightly when cornering hard, for a truly thrilling drive.

The sports exhaust system, meanwhile, ensures you get the ultimate roar from the V8 engine when you put your foot down – especially when you are driving the car in Sport mode.

For easier everyday driving, all-wheel steering is also standard. At low speeds, it shrinks the car’s turning circle. But when driving faster, it steers the rear wheels in the same direction as the front wheels, allowing for smoother lane changes and overtaking.

Technology

Predictive Adaptive Cruise Assist

Predictive Adaptive Cruise Assist takes these functions further, by offering the same convenience when you leave the highway. Using data from the navigation system, it can continue to safely control your speed, accelerating or braking as necessary to account for speed limit changes, bends in the road, junctions and roundabouts.

A car that sees around corners

When manoeuvring in extremely tight spots or crowded locations, 3D Surround View allows you to choose the best view available from the four different cameras on the car or, alternatively, see a 3D view of the overall environment around the vehicle.

All the in-car apps you need

With the My Bentley App Studio, you can download and install apps directly onto the car’s infotainment system, so you can use your preferred apps without connecting your phone to the car.

Artisan audio systems

There are two optional alternatives to the standard Bentley Signature Audio system: the Bang & Olufsen for Bentley system or, for the ultimate in in-car audio, the unrivalled Naim for Bentley.

Cutting-edge cruise control

The specification includes Adaptive Cruise Assist with Lane Guidance, which enables you to take your feet off the pedals when driving on the highway. As long as you keep your hands on the wheel, it will ensure you stay in the centre of your lane and maintain a safe gap between your car and the car in front – even if traffic slows to a stop and starts again.

Seamless smartphone integration

The Continental GT S features a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot for fast internet connectivity, plus the wired and wireless versions of both Android Auto* and Apple CarPlay**.

Personalisation

Create a car that’s one of a kind

The Continental GT S can be commissioned in an enormous range of colours, comprising the standard paint range, the extended range and the Mulliner range. Together, that gives you a total of more than 80 exterior finishes to choose from.

Carbon ceramic brakes can be added, complete with your choice of black or red callipers. If you commission a car with the standard iron brakes, even more calliper colours are available, including Mandarin by Mulliner and Signal Yellow by Mulliner.

Inside, you can add contrast stitching, contrast piping and hand cross-stitching. For the hard surfaces, meanwhile, there is a wide range of veneer options, including traditional gloss and contemporary open pore wood, as well as more technical finishes. Depending on your choice of veneer, you can further enhance these surfaces with stunning new techniques such as metal inlays or laser etching.

An optional sunroof is available to flood the cabin with sunlight, while technology options include the stunning Bentley Rotating Display.
